Recipe: Delicious French Toast Baguettes with Shio-Koji Delicious, fresh and tasty.

French Toast Baguettes with Shio-Koji. The soft French toast casserole topped with the sweet crunch of pecan topping makes a delicious morning breakfast. There is little effort to put together the topping and spreading it on the bread in the morning, but if you're lazy in morning like me, you may prefer something completely constructed in the evening and then just pop in the oven in the morning. Needless to say, I am now a huge french toast fan (BUT only when they are made with baguette!).

Lightly brush slices with olive oil or melted butter; arrange in a single layer on baking sheets.

If you ever wondered how to toast a baguette, it's as easy as bread and butter (or, to my taste, bread and olive oil).

The recommended bread is a loaf of French baguette with a hard crust around the white soft bread.

You can have French Toast Baguettes with Shio-Koji using 6 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of French Toast Baguettes with Shio-Koji

  1. Prepare 2 slice of Baguette.

  2. Prepare 1 of generous teaspoon Shio-koji.

  3. You need 1 of Egg.

  4. It’s 2 tbsp of Milk.

  5. You need 1 of Granulated sugar.

  6. Prepare 10 grams of Butter.

Place bread slices on baking stone or pan.

Brush tops lightly with olive oil-if you do not have a pastry brush, you can pour some olive oil into a bowl and simply dip the slices in it.

Made with baguettes (french stick), it fans out like hasselback potatoes, creating perfect crevices to pour the maple syrup into!

Butter both sides of the baguette slices; place slices on baking sheets.

French Toast Baguettes with Shio-Koji instructions

  1. Whisk together the shio-koji, eggs, and milk, then soak the baguette slices in it..

  2. Thoroughly immerse both sides..

  3. Sprinkle granulated sugar on the tops of the slices..

  4. In a heated pan, melt the butter, then fry the baguette slices, with the sugared side down..

  5. Flip them over, then sprinkle more granulated sugar and fry..

Lightly sprinkle buttered slices with garlic salt.

Grilling the bread Place the baguettes on the grill for a few minutes on each side (flip when you're starting to see slightly charred grill marks).

With so many toppings and breads there is an endless variety of French toast you can make.

Cinnamon French toast, Brioche French toast, stuffed French toast and even a French toast that tastes like a Starbucks caramel macchiato.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can even make French toast in a mug!
