Instant khichdi. The series served as the second season of Khichdi franchise and a sequel to the show Khichdi, which aired on STAR Plus channel. Instant khichdi instructions

  1. First take pressure cooker add oil and then jeera…then add onions and when onions cooked then addd chopped tomato and required spices.

  2. Mix the rice and dal in a bowl and wash it properly….and then add in tadka…..add required water approximately 1 and half katori…..close the lid of cooker and wait for 1 whistle and then after 1 whistle cook it for 2 minutes on low flame…..khichdi is ready…serve it with either dahi or chutney as you liked.

When the instant pot beeps, the khichdi will be ready.

Optionally add tadka or tempering if you like.

In this case, I just added ghee and half a teaspoon of red chili powder to prepare the tadka.

You can also replace with just a dollop of ghee.

Enjoy Khichdi with mango pickle and yogurt.
