  2. It’s of mix dal moong & red masur soaked for 15 mins.

  1. Wash and soak the dalia and dal for 15 mins. Keep aside.

  2. Heat a pressure cooker add ghee, jeera saute, then add sliced onions fry till translucent. Then add the chopped carrot and peas saute for a few mins. Then add ginger chilli paste and stir fry for 2 mins..

  3. Then add haldi powder, chilli powder and garam masala powder and salt and mix well stir fry for few mins. Then add the soaked dalia and dal and mix it well. Add 3 cups hot water and cook first on high flame till 1st whistle and then on a medium flame for 2 whistles..

Bulgur, as I have said in my bulgur pulao recipe, that it is low in fat and calories and rich in fiber and protein.

It has more fiber than brown rice, so it will keep you full for a longer time, making it is a great addition to a weight loss diet.

Next add the lentil-broken wheat combi and mix well.

Serve the hot broken wheat / bulgur khichdi, garnish with roasted cashew nuts, accompanied with pickle and raita or yogurt dip.
