  6. You need to taste of Salt.

  7. Prepare 1/2 cup of Grated beetroot.

  8. You need 1 teaspoon of lime juice.

The key to making good sabudana khichdi is in getting the texture of sago pearls (sabudana) right.

After washing the sago, drain out all the water & transfer to an air tight container.

The sago pearls should swell up in the process.

  1. Soak sabudana overnight or minimum 5 to 6 hour. Always use 1.1 rastio sabudana or water.

  2. Rise the sabudana untill water turns clear..

  3. In the morning drain the sabudana.soak completely.Grated beetroot add in sabudana and mix it well..

  4. In a pan add Ghee, cumin seeds,Green chilli chopped and add peanut saute for 2 to 3 minutes..

  5. Now add Grated beetroot sabudana and mix it well add lime juice and salt. Dont over mix. Cover the lid and cook for 2 minutes..

  6. Now turn off the flame.and serve hot with curd..

  7. Enjoy your beetroot sabudana khichdi.
