Khichdi Muthiya. Khichdi na Muthia is a staple dish of Gujrat cuisine which cooked in each and every Guajarati family. This time I shared steamed muthia recipe which made from leftover khichdi. I used simple khichdi recipe which made from rice and green lentils with little salt.

Take all the ingredients in a big bowl and knead it into a medium-hard dough.

  1. Prepare for of dough:-.

  2. You need 1 cup of leftover Khichdi.

  3. You need 1/2 cup of besan.

  4. Prepare 1/2 cup of wheat flour.

  5. It’s 3 tbsp of oil.

  6. Prepare 1 tsp of red chilli powder.

  7. You need as per taste of salt.

  8. Prepare 1 tsp of dry mint powder.

  9. Prepare 1 tsp of cumin seeds powder.

  10. It’s 1/2 tsp of crushed ajwain.

  11. It’s 1/4 tsp of hing.

  12. It’s 1/2 tsp of black salt.

  13. You need 1/4 tbsp of ginger chilli paste.

  14. You need for of seasoning/tadka.

  15. You need 1 tbsp of oil.

  16. It’s 1 tsp of mustard seeds.

  17. It’s 1/4 tsp of hing.

  18. You need 2 tsp of white sesame seeds.

  19. You need 2-3 of chopped green chillies.

  20. It’s Handful of Coriander for garnishing.

Flour and spices are added to leftover khichdi and binded together to make logs.

The logs are then steamed and cooked.

A tempering of mustard seeds, sesame seeds and curry leaves is made and the muthia are tossed into it and served.
