  2. It’s 1 cup of yellow moong dal.

  3. Prepare 1 cup of Rice.

  4. It’s 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.

  5. Prepare to taste of salt.

  6. You need 6 cup of Water.

  7. Prepare of For Tadka.

  8. You need 1 cup of blanched spinach.

  9. Prepare 2 of tomatoes.

  10. It’s 2-3 of Green chillies.

  11. Prepare 1 inch of ginger.

  12. It’s 2-3 of garlic cloves chopped.

  13. Prepare 1 tsp of red chilli powder.

  14. It’s 1/2 tsp of garam masala.

  16. You need 1/2 tbsp of lemon juice.

  17. It’s 1 tbsp of ghee.

  18. You need 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.

  19. Prepare 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds.

  20. It’s 1/4 tsp of hing/asafoetida.

This khichdi is similar to my vegetable khichdi except instead of vegetables, I have used spinach.

It is a very nutritious, filling and a comforting.

  1. First mix dal and rice put haldi and salt add water and put on gas…cook till 3whistles on medium falme.

  2. Make tomato purée by grinding tomato ginger chillies and garlic in a mixer jar.

  3. Put blanched spinach in mixer jar and churn to make puree.

  4. Heat a pan add ghee cumin seeds hing and mustard seeds.

  5. Then add tomato purée and cook for 3-4 mins add all the spices and cook.

  6. Then add spinach purée and cook for a boil.

  7. Add cooked khichdi and give it a nice mix….

  8. Spinach khichdi/palak khichdi is ready..serve with pickle or raita..enjoy..
