Easiest Way to Cook Appetizing Moong Dal Dalia Khichri Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Moong Dal Dalia Khichri. Daliya is basically broken wheat which is considered to be very good and healthy. Combining Daliya and Moong Dal in a one pot meal is good to be consumed when you are facing some stomach problems as well. Nutritious and light on the tummy.

In ayurveda, moong is one lentil that is recommended for balancing all three doshas (kapha, pitta & vata).

Moong Dal Khichdi is a complete meal in itself.

Made with rice and lentils, khichdi is healthy, wholesome and good for you!

You can have Moong Dal Dalia Khichri using 12 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook it.

Ingredients of Moong Dal Dalia Khichri

  1. You need 3 cups of Daliya (broken wheat).

  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of Yellow moong dal.

  3. You need 1/4 cup of carrot chopped.

  4. You need 1/4 cup of beans chopped.

  5. You need 1/4 cup of potato chopped.

  6. Prepare 1/4 cup of green peas.

  7. It’s to taste of Salt.

  8. Prepare 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder.

  9. You need 2 of green chilli.

  10. It’s 1 of bay leaves.

  11. You need as needed of Water.

  12. Prepare 1/2 tbsp of cumin seeds.

It can be made vegan by replacing the ghee with oil.

This is a plain moong dal khichdi (sadi khichdi) so there are not much Indian spices in this dish.

Just add turmeric powder and salt to taste and mix well.

Turn on the gas and let the water in moong dal and rice come to boil once.

Moong Dal Dalia Khichri step by step

  1. Take a kadai..fry Daliya for some time and keep aside..

  2. Now in the same kadai,fry moong dal also.and keep aside..

  3. Cut the veggies…

  4. Now turn on the flame and take a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds,bay leaves, veggies fry them for sometimes…Now add green chillis,moong dal,Daliya, turmeric powder,,and salt..Stir them well now add water and give 5 whistles NOTE I am from Bangalore and Bangalore water is slightly hard so I usually give 5 whistles) so it is upto you reg whistles. And your Daliya is ready..

Moong dal and dalia is not only tasty but nutritious too.

Moong dalia with dal should be made for children atleast once in a week.
