Recipe: Perfect Sabudana/Javarisi Khichdi Delicious, fresh and tasty.

  1. Prepare 1 cup of sabudana/Javarisi soaked overnight.

  2. It’s 1/2 cup of ground nut powder.

  3. You need 1 of green chilli.

  4. You need 4-5 of curry leaves.

  5. You need 1 tsp of jeera.

  6. You need 2 tsp of ghee.

  7. It’s 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.

  8. You need 1 tsp of sugar.

  9. It’s 1/2 tsp of salt.

Sago moong dal khichdi / sabudana mung bean khichdi / javvarisi pachai paruppu upma.

Aloo sabudana vada / tapioca potato fritters.

Sabudana vada is one of the recipes prepared during the vrats.

A special snack made on the occasion of Navratri, the vadaas are very crispy and crunchy and melt in your mouth.

Sabudana/Javarisi Khichdi step by step

  1. Soak the sabudana overnight till the level of the sabudana,do not add too much water,they will become soggy..

  2. In the soaked sabudana,add groundnut powder,red chilli powder,sugar and salt.Mix it and keep aside..

  3. In a pan,add ghee jeera,green chillies,curry leaves and the mixture.Cook till everything comes together..

In fact, the mouth watering snack item is considered as an ideal food to eat during Navratri fasts.
