  1. You need 1/2 cup of masoor dal.

  2. Prepare 2 tablespoon of refined oil.

  3. Prepare 1 of bay leaf.

  4. It’s 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds.

  5. Prepare 1 tablespoon of curry leaves.

  6. Prepare 1 tablespoon of ginger finely chopped.

  7. Prepare 1 of large onion finely chopped.

  8. You need 2 of green chillies chopped.

  9. You need 1 of tomato finely chopped.

  10. You need 1 of carrot finely chopped.

  11. You need 1 of capsicum finely chopped.

  12. It’s 10 of beans finely chopped.

  13. It’s 1 cup of cooking oats.

  14. You need 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder.

  15. You need 1/2 teaspoon of kashmiri red chilli powder.

  16. Prepare 1 teaspoon of coriander powder.

  17. You need 3 cups of water.

  18. You need 1 tablespoon of finely chopped coriander leaves.

  19. Prepare 50 gm of peanuts.

  20. It’s to taste of Salt according.

For a no spicy oats khichdi, skip green chilies, red chili powder and add less ginger.

  4. Furthermore, add tomatoes and fry till they turn soft and mushy.After that add carrot,capsicum and beans and saute for about 3 to 4 minutes..

  5. Drain the water from dal and add along with turmeric, kashmiri red chilli powder and coriander powder. Fry for about 2 to 3 minutes..

  6. Then add 1 cup of oats, salt and fry for about 2 minutes..

  7. Pour 3 cups of water and give a mix. On a medium flame, pressure cook for two whistle..

  8. Finally, serve oats khichdi warm after garnishing with some coriander leaves and peanuts..
