You need 2 of beets.

It’s 3 of carrots.

You need 1 of red onion.

You need 3 of potatoes.

Prepare 1 can of chopped tomatoes.

It’s 1 of tomato paste.

Prepare 1 pinch of parsley.

Prepare 1 of sour cream.

It’s 1 tbsp of vegetable oil (optional).

You need 1 tsp of sugar.

Prepare 1 of salt pepper.

Prepare 1 of garlic.

It’s 1/2 of cabbage.

It’s 2 of pork sausages.
You will note that I cook most of the vegetables separately as each vegetable takes different times to cook, therefore, you do not have mushy soup.
This is my Mothers recipe, however, I have improved on it and my Mother likes my recipe better.
We omit red peppers because of allergies.

rumble the sausage into a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir until no longer pink. Remove from the heat and set aside..

In a big pot fill the half with water. When the water boil add the sausages. After 5 min add the beets..

After 10minutes add the carrots and the potatos..

After 15min add cabbage and the can with the diced tomatos..

In a pan use the luquid (fat) from the sausages to saute the onions. if you dont have put vegetable oil. when the onion is tender add the tomato paste. cook for 5 minutes. then add into the soup..

add the garlic raw..

leave it to rest for 10minutes..

serve with parsley or dill and a tbl spoon sour cream!.
