Ingredients of Sago Khichdi

  1. Prepare 1/2 bowl of sago soaked in 1/2 bowl of water.

  2. Prepare 1/4 bowl of peanuts.

  3. It’s 2 of potatoes.

  4. Prepare 2 tb of sp pure ghee.

  5. It’s 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds.

  6. It’s To taste of salt.

  7. It’s 1/4 tsp of Black pepper powder.

  8. It’s 1/4 tsp of mango powder.

Soaked sago pearls or tapioca is sauteed with bite-sized potatoes and peanuts to prepare the dish.

  1. Soak sago in enough water for 2 hours. Strain excess water..

  2. Wash peel and chop potatoes in very thin slices..

  3. Heat ghee in a wok. Add thinly chopped potatoes in ghee and fry golden brown colour. Remove it in a plate..

  4. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put soaked and strained sago and saute for 1 minute. Add peanuts and roast for 2 minutes..

  5. Now add fried potatoes and mix. Add rock salt, black pepper powder and mango powder and mix well. Sauté for an minute and sago khichdi is ready..

  6. Serve hot with curd..
