  7. You need 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.

Heat oil in a pan, add remaining mustard seeds, remaining red chillies and curry leaves.

When the seeds begin to splutter add yam pieces, salt and turmeric powder and toss.

  8. Now add curd in it and cook it for 5-8 minutes..

  9. Now add water in it as per your requirement and bring it to a boil..

  10. Then add fried yams in it and cook it for another 10 minutes then add lemon juice it and switch off the flame..

  11. Garnish it with coriander leaves and your yam curry/jimmikand curry is ready to serve now..
