Whole Masoor khichdi. As a South Indian, I rarely used masoor dal in my cooking before I started blogging. Ever since, I have been trying out recipes with both whole masoor and masoor dal. 🙂 The Hyderbadi Khichdi uses rice and masoor dal, with some onions and mild spices. The result was a fragrant, mellow Khichdi that was quite unlike others of its ilk.

To make this dish more nutritious, add mixed veggies of your choice.

This is also healthier and tastier dish that can be incorporated in kids diet in place of regular plane khichdi.

Comfort food at it's best, this Lehsun-Pyaaz Tadkewali Masoor Dal Khichdi Recipe is a light meal of whole masoor dal cooked along with rice until it is mushy and topped with a luscious tempering of onions and garlic fried in ghee with simple spices.

  5. It’s leaves of Tempering oil. Mustard cumin seeds… Hing. Curry.

You can choose to make the khichdi with any dal of your choice.

Rinse out and then soak the rice and lentils together for about half an hour.
