You can cook Kabuli chane chhole using 17 ingredients and 10 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Kabuli chane chhole

  1. It’s 1& 1/2 cup of kabuli chana.

  2. It’s 1 cup of onion puree.

  3. It’s 1 cup of tomato puree.

  4. It’s 1 tsp of Freshly crushed ginger garlic green chilli paste.

  5. It’s 2-3 tsp of oil.

  6. You need 2 of bay leaves.

  7. It’s 2 of cinnamon sticks.

  8. Prepare 1 tsp of cumin seeds.

  9. You need 1/2 tsp of ground spices.

  10. Prepare As required of salt.

  11. Prepare 1 tsp of coriander powder.

  12. Prepare 1 tsp of cumin powder.

  13. You need 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.

  14. It’s 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.

  15. You need of Extra use—.

  16. Prepare 1/2 tsp of ground spices powder.

  17. Prepare 1/2 tsp of kashmiri red chilli powder.

Kabuli chane chhole step by step

  1. Soak the kabuli chana overnight and then pressure cook 2-3 whistle adding salt..

  2. Take onion tomato puree and crushed ginger garlic green chilli..

  3. Take kadai add oil add cumin seed, cinnamon stick & bay leaves..

  4. Then add crushed ginger garlic and green chilli paste..

  5. Add chopped onion cook it 30 sec then add all the spices. Cook it till oil release..

  6. Add onion puree & cook 3-4mins..

  7. Add tomato puree cook it for 5 mins..

  8. Add a cup of water. And boil it & cover with lid for 5 mins in low flame. Then add kashmiri red chilli powder & ground spices powder mix it..

  9. Then mix the boiled chane. Cover it for 2 mins. Turn off the flame..

  10. Serve it..

Like some other commenters, I don't have chhole masala either.

What I do have are the usual But I also have chaat masala.

The way my mom used to make it, the chhole had a bit of a tangy.
