Jalebi is probably one of the sweet which I stayed away for such a long time thinking that it is a complicated one to make…So when srivalli announced this dish for Indian Cooking Challenge,I was a little bit nervous…But I thought to give this a try..

This easy Jalebi recipe is so simple that you would have a plate of perfect jalebis before you know it.

You can cook Yummy jalebi using 5 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Yummy jalebi

  1. It’s 1 1 Cups of urad dal water soaked in for atleast hour.

  2. You need 2 Cups of sugar.

  3. You need 1 1/4 Cups of water sugar syrup to make.

  4. Prepare 1 Pinch of saffron.

  5. You need of Sunflower oil for frying.

Jalebi, also known as zulbia and zalabia, is a sweet popular food in some parts of South Asia, West Asia, North Africa, and East Africa.

It is made by deep-frying maida flour (plain flour or all-purpose flour) batter in pretzel or circular shapes, which are then soaked in sugar syrup.

Here is how you achieve it.

Yummy jalebi instructions

  1. Firstly make sugar syrup, for that add 1 1/4 cup of water in 2 cup of sugar. and heat this in medium flame until a string consistency is formed. keep it aside.

  2. Make fine paste of soaked urad dal. make sure that while making the paste,less water is used. add apinch of food color to the paste.and mix it well. here i have used saffron.

  3. Heat the oil in a pan at medium flame. fill the paste in a nozz;e and startmaking jalebi.. each jalebi shd be fried for 2-3 min check its cooked (make sure its not too hard).

  4. Fried jalebi should be immediately soaked in the syrup.keep it for 15 min..

  5. Garam garam jalebi is now ready.
