Shahi lauki ke kofte with plain rice instructions

  1. First squeeze the gourd.

  2. Now in bowl take all given ingredients mix it together combine well maka stuff mixture.

  3. Now heat the wok with oil.

  4. Now take a small portion of the mixture now make a ball shape.

  5. Now drop in hot oil.

  6. Now deep fry it becomes golden brown colour on lower to medium flame.

  7. Now remove the plates and keep it a side.

  8. Now in a pan take magaj,poppy seeds, cashew nut and raisins add half glass water now turn on the flame and cook for 1o min on lower flame now turn off the flame and keep it a side.

  9. Now heat the frying pan take some butter then add cumin, green cardamom, black cardamom, red chilli,star flowers stir it few minutes now get a good aroma.

  10. Now add chopped onion saute it becomes translucent it.

  11. Now add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, some salt stir it becomes tendar.

  12. Now turn off the flame lets cool completely.

  13. Now transfer the jar onion mixture & boiled poppy seeds mixture.

  14. Now griend it make a fine paste and sieve it.

  15. Again heat the frying pan take some butter then add prepared paste stir it 5 to 8 min on lower flame.

  16. Now add red chilli powder and turmeric powder, meet masala powder to taste salt mix gently.

  17. Now add fried kofte now cook on lower flame for 5 to 8 min.

  18. Now last garnish some chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame.

  19. In a cooker add rice and water as ur required and pure ghee now closed the lid and pressure cook up to 1 whistles.

  20. Now turn off the flame.

  21. Now ready to serve it.

Once the bottle gourd is grated, squeeze out the excess water.

Garam Flour/Besan will give the binding forcw to the balls batter/kofta batter.

Lauki Kofta has been my favorite dish to eat since childhood.

Though the thought of eating Lauki or Bottle Gourd as a vegetable irks many and yet this dish will make you want more.

My mommy made this dish on rare occasion as its meant to be a rich, hearty dish apt for parties and social gatherings.
