Also a can of evaporated milk (not the sweetened condensed) does wonderful things in Mac n Cheese as well as mashed potatoes and gratins. Milk substitutes for mac and cheese which are just as good if not better.

I like my Mac & Cheese A little less (Chunky) I use Butter & Hot water if I do not have milk.

  3. It’s of Sea Salt (in boiling water).

  4. Prepare 1 1/2 tbsp of Butter or Margarine (maybe 2 TBS, i wasn't measuring).

  5. Prepare 2 1/2 tbsp of Sour Cream.

  6. It’s 4 slice of 3/8" thick slices of Sharp Cheddar Velveeta Cheese.

  7. It’s 2 slice of 3/8" Queso Blanco Velveeta Cheese.

  8. It’s 2 tsp of Crushed Red Pepper Flakes.

  9. It’s 1/2 of Fresh Jalepeno, diced small.

  10. You need 1 dash of Garlic Powder.

  11. Prepare 1 dash of Onion Powder.

  12. Prepare of Ground Black Pepper.

  13. It’s of Beer (I used Coors Light).

Then hit up the water after you have put in the cheese packet, as it will desolve most of the contents.

For many people, macaroni and cheese is comfort food, whether it's baked at home in the oven or on the stove from a box.

NO MILK Cheater Mac n Cheese instructions

  1. Fill pot with water, add sea salt to taste, & bring to boil.

  2. Once boiling, add boxed pasta & dry pasta of choice. BOIL ONLY 4-5 MINUTES! (Do NOT add the cheese powder packets that come in the boxed Mac, you will use these later)..

  3. Drain the pasta in a collender & rinse with cold water to remove starch & stop the pasta from cooking any further. Do not transfer pasta back to pot; let it sit in the collender until the cheese sauce is ready..

  4. Using the same pot that you boiled the pasta in, add the butter, sour cream, the 2 pouches of cheese powder from the boxes, the Velveeta (all slices of both kind), & the diced jalepeno..

  5. Simmer on low and slowly add a little beer to thin out the consistency of the cheese.

  6. Simmer & stir until the mixture is creamy & lump free (keep adding beer [or more sour cream] AS NEEDED, dont go overboard though!).

  7. Once creamy, add the crushed red pepper flakes, garlic & onion powder, and stir well into the cheesy goodness..

  8. Once everything is well blended, slowly fold the pasta into the cheese mix by large spoon-fulls.

  9. Garnish with black pepper (if desired), and smash! 😁.

Microwave for at least two minutes longer so the pasta can cook through.

Double the cheese and milk as well.
